Enter only your first name, this lets other users know that it's a person on the other end of their conversation, and email address (we'll let you reset your password if needed). Congratulations! You're now a member of our community.
Find the issues that mean the most to you. We work hard to make sure that issues big and small are represented on Indivius. If there is something impacting your life and it’s not on here we’re always open to suggestions for what we should add. Simply click the "+" in the upper right to suggest a new issue!
After you set your stance on a topic we’ll find someone who sees it a little differently. You’ll be paired up and put in a chat where you can try to understand things from their point of view and vise-versa. You can request multiple matches on a single topic so you always have someone to talk to. Click the "+/person" in the upper right to request an additional conversation match. Not getting enough matches? Invite other users with the box/arrow in the upper right.
Once you’ve been matched you can get to know the real, living person on the other side of the issue. This is your chance to get outside your echo chamber. To see things from someone else’s point of view. The only thing they’ll know about you is your first name and where you set your stance on the issue. The rest is up to you to discuss with them.
Within your chat you're in control. Think your stance should change? Forgot their stance? Click the top right in your discussion to be brought to this screen where you can adjust your stance, check their stance, or leave the conversation. This is also the screen where you can block a user or report abuse if you feel some policing is required.
Once you’ve reached the end of your conversation (either user can determine this) click the 'end conversation' botton is the 'Details' tab and you'll be taken to this screen. From here you can give the user thumbs up (good conversation) or down (bad conversation), make an adjustment to your stance, and officially leave the conversation. The more good conversations you have, the more civility points you'll recieve (check your score from the settings screen on the latest version) the better the quality of your matches. Happy debating!
